- Boys and Girls 12 to 18 years of age who are interested in having fun and being challenged What Activities Are We Involved In? - Community Service - Marksmanship (air rifle shooting) - Drill - Biathlon (skiing & shooting) - Sailing - Powerboat Operation - Sports & Fitness - Music - Orienteering (map & compass) - Seamanship - Navigation How Much Does It Cost? There is no cost! The Cadet Program is funded by the Department of National Defence (DND) in partnership with the local civilian Navy League of Canada branch. The branch provides accommodations, training aids and equipment and program enhancements not provided through DND. Parents and cadets are expected to participate in fundraising efforts to support the branch so that they can provide our cadets with these amazing opportunities. Do I Have To Join The Canadian Forces? Absolutely not! The Cadet Program is a great way to have fun, be challenged and make friends.
